THE EVOLUTION OF MOBILE PHONES

Mobile phones evolution

In today’s society, communications play an incredibly important role, as it allows for constant interaction and communication between people, companies, firms and other players in the modern world. You could say, with confidence, that without communications, life as we know it could exist.
Over time, the need to be increasingly communicated grew stronger, and that is why companies and manufacturers related to the world of telephony are on a constant quest to evolve and offer more and better equipment and services to offer its users.
Mobile phones evolution
Since 1854, year that could be defined as the date of the creation of the telecommunications market thanks to the invention of the telephone, has not stopped at any time to innovate.
And while the invention of the telephone was a historic event and that had a great impact worldwide, since reduce the distances, offering people the opportunity to communicate more frequently and easily.
Nevertheless, it was not until the advent of cell phones in 1972, an a creation of the mind of Martin Cooper,
Mobile phones evolution

Over the years, mobile phones have evolved (and still do) in a drastic way. They began as “bricks” (so named because of its size and shape) and analog, to become digital, smaller in size and equipped with an incredible and amazing amount of functions.
A little history of the cell phone
The cell phone has its beginnings at the beginning of the Second World War, period in which was a real need for remote communication, that’s why Motorola created a team called Handie Talkie H12-16. It is a team that allowed communication via radio waves at that time did not exceed 600 kHz.
It was only a matter of time before the two technologies of Tesla and Marconi come together to create communication through radio phone: Martin Cooper, considered the father of the cell phone, design the first radio telephone between 1970 and 1973, in USA, and in 1979 appeared the first systems on the market in Tokyo (Japan), manufactured by NTT. Europa could not be outdone and in 1981 a system similar to AMPS (Advanced Mobile Phone System) was introduced.

The first cell phone
The first cell phone in history was the Motorola DynaTAC 8000X, whose appearance was in 1983. It had a weight of 780 grams and measuring about 33 x 9 x 4.5cm. Obviously it was analog, and had a small display. The battery had a shelf life of no more than an hour talking, and 8 hours in stand-by. The sound quality was very poor, was heavy and anti-aesthetic, nevertheless, some people paid their worth USD $ 3.995 what made it a luxury item which is only accessible for people with high purchasing power.

First cellular generation
The first generation of mobile phones comes with the appearance on the world market of the known “brick” (DynaTAC 8000X) in the late ’80s. These devices had analog technology for restricted use of voice commands. The dominant technology of this generation was the AMPS (Advanced Mobile Phone System)
Second cellular generation
This arises in the 90s, with cell phones with digital technology and highly valued benefits, such as extended battery life and greater definition and sound quality. These phones, they had the ability to send and receive text messages (SMS) but at that time it was not the “boom” of this phones. At the end of the decade it saw the rise of cell phones; ordinary people are added to the list of users, favored by lowering prices because of competition between different companies.
Mobile phones evolution

This generation of cell phones have as main feature of adding the old technologies with new design. The use of these phones spread to an ever-increasing number of users, mainly due to falling prices. Also it is appearing on stage the SIM card, where all the information is located.
Consumption is significantly extended, and one of the causes of this fact is the existence in the market for GSM phones “low range”, such as the Nokia 1100, Sagem XT, Motorola C200 or C 115, Alcatel, Siemens A56 or Sony Ericsson T106, all with very low prices and enticing promotions.
However, the need to achieve certain social status is still present, and the cell phone has a symbolic value of class membership, both young and senior executives who continue to benefit from its services.
Mobile phones evolution

Because of this, alongside to these “minor phone”, users had available in the market an infinite variety of models of phones with digital cameras, and some that even allowed to film a few minutes, color screen, fast Internet connection (4G/LTE), multimedia messaging (MMS) and access to e-mail box (POP3), among others fantastic features.
In 2001, Japan launched 3G mobile phones based on UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System). The main change was the addition of a second camera to make video calls, ie see and talk to one person at a time through the mobile phone. After that, they followed other communications standards, increasingly fast and capable.
At this point, everything was prepared for the appearance on the market of the last revolution in communications: The smartphone, a device that would change the world in a way that few could anticipate.
Smartphones and 4G
There is no doubt that the appearance on the market of standard 4G communications, forever changed the way the mobile phone users use their device. To that extent this is so the phone and the vast number of applications to complement today could not exist.
Binding of the smartphone, an impressive mix of telephone and computer, and this new communications standard, certainly broke the pattern of consumption of content which we used for years, and thanks to the speed of data transmission that can achieve 4G, we can consume without problem video content in HD, music streaming and a thousand other things, besides, of course, everything that has to do with our work so we can make several times faster without many complications, at the place and time where we are, points that are vital to the daily functioning of millions of people around the world today.
Mobile phones evolution
Conclusion
As we can see, with the advent of 4G, cell phone users have even closer ties with technology, fully relying on these devices the responsibility to perform safely and effectively many of the tasks previously not even dared to leave it to others, psychological and moral considerations aside.
Thanks to the long journey and the constant evolution of the actors involved in cellular technology, now we are facing a very large market and varied, with many opportunities, with devices and plans to suit each user’s needs, which it is mainly reflected in the specific advertising campaigns on the one hand, and on the other, constantly offering promotions and plans, trying to attract new customers.

What’s the latest news?
GTA 6 will take place in two locations, feature the series’ first female lead character and could release as late as 2022, so says a new report.
It’s rumoured to be set in or around Miami or Rockstar’s version of south Florida, known as Vice City in the GTA universe, but players will also fly to South America for some missions.
So, when’s it coming out?
Rockstar hasn’t even announced the game – so we’d expect a release date of around 2020.
Some say it could be even later than that. Analyst Michael Pachter predicts  the sixth instalment may come as late as 2022.
That’s some time away yet. The good news is that Red Dead Redemption 2 is nearly here – and will likely keep gamers (and Rockstar) occupied for a good chunk of time – despite it bing delayed until October 26.
You can find out more about Red Dead Redemption 2 in our detailed explainer piece here.
GTA 6 Rumours and Release date

GTA V online support will be around for years to come
OK, so when can we expect the trailer to drop?
Some say we may catch a glimpse as early as this year, but mid-next-year is probably more likely.
If you can’t wait, one clever fan has made his own GTA 6 trailer, which is definitely worth checking out.
How big will the map be?
Huge. We go into some more details and rumours below but rest assured it’ll be the biggest map in the series.
The last game felt just a tiny bit too small for the huge planes and airport. So expect to see Rockstar address this – who knows, perhaps you’ll be able to fly to Vice City?

“Of course at some point we would like to have one big world containing all our cities and let the player fly between them and revisit their favourite areas,” said former Rockstar President Leslie  Benzies.
“In that context, re-imaging Vice City would be very interesting.”
When can we officially expect to hear something?
Now THAT is a question. Some speculate that E3 in June may be the first glimpse, but we’re not sure it’ll be that early.
Instead, we can probably expect to see some teaser material drop at some point next year – with the game likely releasing between 2020-2021.
How long does it take to make a game as big as GTA?
Usually games take around two years – but GTA may take up to three.
Benzies said GTA production started during RDR2 development and stepped up when that was done.
So expect two years full-on development, with around one-year pre-production.

Rumours have it we could see a female main character in GTA 6?
Yes, this has been doing the rounds but there’s nothing concrete yet.
It stems from the fact that Rockstar has only ever had male characters in leading roles, with women often just populating strip clubs or playing porno actresses.
In retrospect, it is pretty sexist – so having a strong female lead would be most welcome.
What about GTA Online? How long will Rockstar keep supporting GTA V?
GTA Online is still absolutely massive – so expect continued support throughout Red Dead Redemption 2’s lifespan.
Regular updates such as Doomsday Heist means there is plenty of life left in the old dog yet.

What platforms will it be on?
GTA 6 will be on both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles – as well as the upcoming PlayStation 5 (which, again, is yet to be announced).
There will be no Nintendo Switch version, unfortunately – we’re almost certain about that.
This is despite rumours that GTA V may well makes it way on to Nintendo’s latest console.
PC gamers will once again probably have to wait a bit longer for their version, but when it does drop, it’ll be the best looking version (we think).
Expect to be able to play with multiple characters in GTA 6

What will be the biggest gamepay changes?
We don’t expect Rockstar to change too much about the gameplay – but instead focus on scale and immersion.
That’s means more detailed worlds and the biggest map they’ve ever created.
Benzies revealed last year that GTA 6 plans are still up in the air.

“We don’t know what GTA 6 will be, but we’ve got some ideas” Benzies said in an interview with Develop.
“It comes from the idea first. Where it is going to be set is the first question.
“Then that defines the missions; you’re doing different things in LA than in New York or Miami. The map and story get worked up together, and the story is a basic flow of how it works out so you can layer the mission in.”
GTA V looked best on PC – and we can expect this to be the case for GTA 6

Where will GTA 6 be set?
There has been talk of it being set in Tokyo and London, but we’re almost certain Rockstar will try and recreate the entire of the US.
Players will be able to fly or drive from one side to another – just like in Ubisoft’s The Crew.
An inside source speaking to Tech Radar said Rockstar was “serious” about the idea of making a Tokyo version  around the time of GTA 3 and Vice City.
However, the road system was seen as a problem and the idea was scapped.
Will it look good?
Yep – it’ll likely be powered by a modified version of the Red Redemption Dead 2 engine – which is capable of some pretty impressive visuals.
RDR2 uses the Rockstar Advanced Game Engine (RAGE), which includes a proprietary physics engine, and runs along with the Euphoria animation engine.
Euphoria is what lets characters interact with the environment in a physically realistic way. So, if they crash a car, they fly through the windscreen etc.
Will there be a first-person mode?
Absolutely – in fact, as we’ve seen in the recent LA Noire: VR Case Files, there could be VR support, too.
VR Case Files has been an overwhelming critical success – so this may give Rockstar the confidence to expand the technology into a larger, more ambitious game.
After all, compared to GTA, LA Noire was far more on the rails.

What’s the latest version of Grand Theft Auto right now?
Grand Theft Auto V was launched in 2013.
The title received unanimous praise, was the 15th instalment in the “GTA” series, and was the first game since 2008’s GTA IV.
What’s the highest scoring version of GTA around right now?
Believe it or not, it’s GTA IV that’s the highest scoring entry in the series.
It’s currently got a Metacritic score of 98 – that’s one point higher than GTA V.
Despite the higher score, many felt disappointed with the fourth entry – citing blurring graphics (on console) and samey mission structure.
Modders have managed to make GTA IV look far better than when it arrived 10 years ago

We’d disagree, with the game providing some truly memorable moments.
When put next to GTA V, however, it’s a far more limited experience – paling in comparison when it comes to size and scale.
What about mods?
As touched on earlier, GTA 6 will almost certainly support mods for the PC version.
GTA V had a plethora of graphics options in vanilla form but for many, it still didn’t look as good as it could.
Some of the mods now available for the game include 4K textures, improved motion blur and depth of field and the intorudction of real-life cars.
There’s even some mods that allow you to fly to Vice City or even take a rocket to space

What about Red Dead Redemption 2?
Unfortunately for those looking to get their hands on the game in June, they’ll be waiting a bit longer.
RDR” has been delayed until October 26. Keep an eye on all Red Dead Redemptiondevelopments here

How to download Windows 10 Fall Creators Update right now

Ready to upgrade your PC to the latest version of Windows 10? All right, let's get to it.
First, let me state: Before you install any big OS update, it's a good idea to back up your system in case something goes awry during the installation. You can simply upload important files to your preferred cloud service or an external drive. Windows's built-in backup service can be found by going to Settings > Update & security > Backup.
You should also make sure your computer meets the system requirements:
  • 1GHz or faster processor
  • 1GB of RAM for a 32-bit machine; 2GB of RAM for a 64-bit machine
  • 16GB hard drive space for a 32-bit machine; 20GB hard drive space for a 64-bit machine
  • DirectX 9 or later graphics card with WDDM 1.0 driver

Check Windows Update

Microsoft will start rolling out Windows 10 Fall Creators Update on Oct. 17 but will do so gradually, so you may not get the update right away. (To be fair, rolling out an update to hundreds of millions of computers takes time and planning.)
To check if it's available for your PC, head to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update and click the Check for updates button. Your PC will scan for the update and, if it's available, it will begin downloading it. After it finishes downloading the update, click Restart Now to restart your PC and complete the installation process.

Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+ specs leaked: Top features, possible price, India launch and other key details

We’re only a few weeks away from the unveiling of the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ which is set to take place a day ahead of MWC 2018 on February 25. With Samsung’s upcoming flagships being one of the most awaited unveilings this year, leaks and rumours have understandably picked up. The flagships are set to succeed last year’s Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ which were launched sporting near bezel-less displays or what Samsung calls Infinity Display. In recent weeks, news surrounding the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ has picked up. Late last week, VentureBeats leaked renders of the two smartphones that tells us what we can expect, at least as far as the display is concerned. In addition to this, the handsets have also been tipped to sport improved cameras and a facial recognition feature to take on Apple’s Face ID. Here are some of the features you can expect.

Top features

-- VentureBeats’ Evan Blass late last week tweeted renders of the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. The renders reveal an edge-to-edge displays on both the phones with bezels slightly slimmer compared to the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+.
A recent report suggests the flagships may come a technology called Intelligent Scan which is a biometric feature that uses facial recognition and iris scanning to unlock the phone in dark or harsh light.
-- The rear will continue to be made out of glass, but we do expect a little change in the look, especially with regards to the fingerprint sensor. According to previous renders, Samsung will move the sensor below the camera module for easy reachability.
-- The company will reportedly introduce a new Y-OCTA (Youm On-Cell Touch AMOLED) technology as well. As per the reports, Y-OCTA will allow the company to place the touch sensor directly on the flexible OLED layer. This will help reduce thickness and weight and could also make the display more touch responsive.
-- The Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are tipped to house stereo speakers tuned by AKG. Both the smartphones are expected to run Android 8.0 Oreo.
-- Samsung recently announced four new ISOCELL camera sensors with each having a special ability such as improving light sensitivity and enabling high-speed video captures at 1080p at 480fps, among other things.
-- The upcoming flagships could sport versions of at least one of the new sensors announced. The larger Galaxy S9+ is tipped to bear a dual rear camera setup and could feature a version of ISOCELL Dual for better optical zoom, low-light shooting and depth sensing for bokeh shots.
-- The Galaxy S9 will feature a single 12-megapixel Dual Pixel rear camera with OIS. It is tipped to come with a variable aperture feature allowing you to shoot between f/1.5 and f/2.4 depending on the lighting conditions.
-- As far as the rest of the specs is concerned, the Galaxy S9 is expected to sport a 5.8-inch Quad-HD+ Super AMOLED display while the larger Galaxy S9+ will come with a 6.2-inch display. They are also expected to come with IP68 certification for dust and water resistance.
-- The flagships will be powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM for the Galaxy S9 and 6GB of RAM for the Galaxy S9+.

Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ possible price

As of now, nothing has been rumoured regarding the pricing of the upcoming flagships. However, the phones are expected to be priced roughly similar to the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. If this is the case, you can expect the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ to be priced around $720 (approx Rs 45,790) and $840 (approx Rs 53,400), respectively.
